The PCA Conference 2017 is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC) on North Terrace in Adelaide’s CBD.
Part of their sustainability goal also includes a waste management system which they have developed to virtually eliminate waste. They have re-distributed over 120,000 unused meals to local charities through their various charity partnerships (including OzHarvest and Foodbank).
The ACC was awarded EarthCheck gold status in 2013, having progress from bronze and then silver status in 2013. The EarthCheck Program is run by EC3 Global and is used in convention centres, hotel and travel groups, national park agencies, community organisations and government regulators all over the world. Vibrant Adelaide is globally renowned for its innovation, world class facilities, ease, value, safe clean surrounds and superb climate. Adelaide is a city that offers the physical and emotional space to breathe. There is a sense of freedom here – of expression, of movement, of thought. It is not only the gateway to some of Australia’s best wine country, the city centre is surrounded by parklands and is a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, parklands, cafes and restaurants.
Adelaide has rolling hills to the east and beaches to the west. With a population of slightly more than one million, Adelaide is the “20 minute city”. The airport is only seven kilometres from Adelaide city. The Adelaide Hills and major beaches are less than half an hour away by car. That’s what we call liveable.
