General Information

The PCA Conference 2017 is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC) on North Terrace in Adelaide’s CBD.

Part of their sustainability goal also includes a waste management system which they have developed to virtually eliminate waste. They have re-distributed over 120,000 unused meals to local charities through their various charity partnerships (including OzHarvest and Foodbank).

The ACC was awarded EarthCheck gold status in 2013, having progress from bronze and then silver status in 2013.  The EarthCheck Program is run by EC3 Global and is used in convention centres, hotel and travel groups, national park agencies, community organisations and government regulators all over the world.  To find out more, read the ACC EarthCheck case study on their website or by visiting the official EarthCheck website by clicking here.

Close proximity to the medical hub, entertainment, cultural and sport precinct, the Centre is a short walk to international and boutique hotels and accommodation. Public transport, the Adelaide Railway Station and a taxi ramp are on our doorstep.

The international airport is just seven kilometres from the Centre, making a quick and economic taxi ride.

If you are driving to the Centre, we offer two undercover car parking options with the North Terrace and the Riverbank car parks. Both are located directly under the Centre and are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Clearance is 2.0m and automated payments stations accept credit/debit cards (1.5% surcharge for Visa, Mastercard, Diners and Amex).  Both car parks are fitted with video surveillance camera systems and security patrols these areas.

Public Transport

Three main taxi companies operate in the Adelaide metro area and ranks are located on North Terrace and Morphett Bridge, right on the doorstep of the Central and West buildings.

The historic Adelaide Railway Station is located a 2 minute walk from the ACC, and the tram stop is just in front of the Railway Station.

The free City Connector bus is an easy way of navigating around Adelaide, look out for bus 98C or 98A. Adelaide is great tour by bike as well.  The ACC is a designated pick up and drop off point for Adelaide Free Bikes – an initiative run by the Adelaide City Council.

About Adelaide

Vibrant Adelaide is globally renowned for its innovation, world class facilities, ease, value, safe clean surrounds and superb climate. Adelaide is a city that offers the physical and emotional space to breathe. There is a sense of freedom here – of expression, of movement, of thought. It is not only the gateway to some of Australia’s best wine country, the city centre is surrounded by parklands and is a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, parklands, cafes and restaurants.

Adelaide has rolling hills to the east and beaches to the west. With a population of slightly more than one million, Adelaide is the “20 minute city”. The airport is only seven kilometres from Adelaide city. The Adelaide Hills and major beaches are less than half an hour away by car. That’s what we call liveable.
